Game one of the round robin playoffs is in the books. The Rivermen came out strong and quick against the Metros at Cody Banks Arena scoring 37 seconds into the first period to take the early lead. The Metros would score two more only to relinquish the lead with 3:06 left in the period. Shot were 16-12 in favor of the Metros after one period. In the second period, the Metros came out on a mission, out shooting the Rivermen 15-7 and out scoring them 4-0. The third period was similar as the second as the Metros added 3 more goals and out shot the Rivermen 14-6. In the end, the Metros won 9-2.
